New study reveals 43% drop in childhood peanut allergies over last decade
(InvestigateTV) — Recent research suggests that the long-held medical advice to avoid peanut products for young children may have been exactly the wrong approach. New studies indicate that introducing peanut products to infants between 4 and 6 months old can significantly reduce the risk of developing a peanut allergy.
According to a study released in October 2025, peanut allergy rates in children under the age of 3 have dropped by roughly 43% over the last decade. Dr. David Hill, lead author of the study, believes the reversal in guidance is a major factor in this decline.
